The Murfreesboro Union
The Murfreesboro Union was published from 1920 to 1953 and was one of several newspapers that primarily served the African American community of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, which is located in Rutherford County.
Following the death of owner and publisher Mary Ellen Vaughn, The Murfreesboro Union was renamed The Murfreesboro News under the leadership of Pearl Stewart Wade, which was published from 1953 to 1965.
