In this session of the Tennessee Talks Webinar series, we will trace Tennessee's abolitionist history through a variety of primary sources and explore strategies for utilizing such sources with students. While most textbooks focus on the efforts of Northern abolitionists such as William Lloyd Garrison and Sojourner Truth, Tennessee also had many active abolitionists in the early 1800s.
